Replacement Guide
Review the full replacement-check process.
An FAG base model is only the first identifier in a replacement check. Preserve the complete designation, including bore, clearance, design, and lubrication markings, then compare it with the selected bearing and actual machine duty.
Keep every letter, number, separator, and marking in the order shown on the bearing or packaging. Do not translate one brand's suffix into another brand's suffix without checking what the selected design actually includes.
| Marking to capture | What it helps confirm |
|---|---|
| Complete FAG designation | Copy the model and all hyphenated suffix groups exactly; a shortened base number is not a replacement specification. |
| Design and bore markings | Retain E1, K, K30, and other design or tapered-bore markings in their original order. |
| Clearance and lubrication details | Capture C3, C4, groove or lubrication markings, and the machine's actual lubrication method. |
| Mounting and duty | Provide sleeve, fit, shoulder, load, speed, temperature, shock, contamination, and failure-history details. |
| Information received | Status | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| Model plus complete suffix and clear marking photos | Ready for design comparison | Confirm dimensions, configuration, ratings, application, and availability. |
| Base model only | Incomplete | Add bore type, clearance, cage, lubrication feature, and suffix. |
| d / D / B only | Not enough to approve | Identify the original model and operating requirements. |
| Operating duty or arrangement has changed | Application review required | Provide loads, speed, temperature, fits, lubrication, and drawing details. |
TFL Bearing is an independent bearing supplier and sourcing/export partner. It is not affiliated with or authorized by FAG. The FAG name is used only to identify the buyer's existing product reference. A review identifies candidate sourcing options; it is not approval based on a model number alone.
