Sealed Spherical Roller Bearings (SB Series)
Single-row sealed design with multi-lip contact seals for buyers reviewing contamination risk, lubrication plan, seal drag, speed, and replacement fit.
SB Series: Sealed for the Real World
The SB series single-row sealed spherical roller bearing eliminates one of the biggest causes of bearing failure: contamination. By integrating multi-lip contact seals directly into the bearing design and factory-filling with industrial grease, SB bearings can reduce maintenance needs in suitable contaminated environments.
Why Sealed?
In mining, construction, agriculture, and heavy industry, bearings face constant exposure to:
- Abrasive dust and dirt
- Water and moisture ingress
- Process contamination (cement, ore, chemicals)
- Inadequate or inconsistent field lubrication
Traditional open bearings in these environments require frequent relubrication—which may not happen consistently in the field. SB series bearings help reduce that maintenance burden when seal drag, temperature, speed, and lubrication plan fit the application.
Design Features
- Multi-lip contact seals: Integrated on both sides, providing superior exclusion of contaminants while retaining grease
- Factory-filled industrial grease: Grease type and temperature limits should be confirmed during RFQ review
- Reduced width design: Seals are integrated without significantly increasing bearing width
- Steel reinforced seal: Provides structural integrity under pressure wash and impact conditions
Performance Benefits
- Grease consumption review compared to open bearings with regular relubrication
- Maintenance interval review based on speed, temperature, seal drag, and contamination
- Contamination risk review when dust, water, or process debris affect bearing life
- Total maintenance cost review after the model, quantity, and operating conditions are confirmed
RFQ Notes
Send the current bearing model, environment, speed, temperature, seal preference, quantity, and target timing. TFL Bearing can review open vs sealed interchange risk, current availability, production routes, and document requirements before quotation.
Applications
- Mining conveyors and crushers
- Construction equipment (excavators, loaders)
- Agricultural machinery (harvesters, tillage equipment)
- Cement and aggregate processing
- Steel mill run-out tables
- Any application with high contamination risk and limited maintenance access
RFQ Details to Send
Send these details so TFL Bearing can review the model, suffix, cage, clearance, bore type, application, documents, and quotation route before confirming current availability or production options.
| RFQ detail | Example | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| full bearing model | 22222 EK/C3 W33, 22320 CAK/W33, or photo of the full marking | Identifies the series, size group, bore style, clearance reference, and starting point for quotation review. |
| full suffix / marking | K, K30, C3, C4, W33, CA, CC, MB, 2RS, or full ring marking photo | Suffixes can change bore type, clearance, cage design, lubrication groove, sealing, and replacement risk. |
| cage type | CA machined brass, CC stamped steel, MB machined brass, or unknown with photo | Cage design affects load, vibration tolerance, lubrication behavior, and suitability for screen or crusher duty. |
| clearance class | CN, C3, C4, C5, or current suffix if the clearance is not separately known | Clearance must be reviewed with shaft fit, temperature, vibration, speed, and failure history. |
| bore type | Cylindrical bore, K 1:12 tapered bore, K30 1:30 tapered bore, adapter sleeve reference | Bore style changes mounting method, sleeve requirements, shaft fit review, and replacement compatibility. |
| application equipment | crusher, vibrating screen, fan, gearbox, conveyor pulley, paper machine, or steel mill position | Application context affects load, shock, speed, contamination, lubrication, and document review. |
| quantity | 1 large bearing, 2 pcs for maintenance, 50 pcs distributor stock, or annual demand | Quantity affects quote route, packing, production planning, inspection scope, and freight review. |
| destination | Destination country, port, warehouse, distributor address, or project site region | Destination affects export documents, packing method, shipping route, and trade-term review. |
| required documents | Inspection report, material certificate, COO, RoHS / REACH statement, packing photos, buyer template | Document requirements must be confirmed before quotation because scope depends on order route and buyer template. |
| target timing | Maintenance shutdown date, urgent repair, trial order timing, or normal replenishment schedule | Timing helps separate availability review, production planning, sample validation, and consolidated shipment options. |
